Cover Supervisors

Monarch Education are looking to recruit a number of cover supervisorsacrcoss Liverpool to provide regular cover toour client schools.

Cover supervisors are suitably-trained support staff who supervise pupils when teaching staff are on short-term absence. They look after a whole class of children and conduct pre-planned lessons providing guidance, advice and classroom management.

The day-to-day tasks of a cover supervisor include supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy, managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment and responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.

You will also be dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures and collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher.

To be successful in this role you must enjoy working with young people, have good communication skills and be highly flexible and able to adapt to different classes and working environments.

DT Technician

Monarch Education are working alongside a large secondary school in Liverpool in their search for a DT Technician to assist the head of department from September.

As with all Technician positions, you will need to be comfortable using the machinery and equipment in a modern technology suite, to include circular & band saws, lathes, drills amongst others. You will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience of using this equipment and the associated risks involved.

The Technology department is well resourced, has a excellent stock levels and an organised and structured approach to delivering the necessary materials and equipment to the teachers so that they can effectively deliver their lessons. The teaching team you will be working with are dedicated and inclusive and will make you feel very welcome.

As the Design Technology Technician you will responsible for:
* Setting up practicals
* Ordering stock
* Cleaning and maintaining equipment
* Supporting teachers with practicals

A Maths Teacher is being sought by a school in Liverpool looking to hire from September onwards.

This job would suit those who have experience or NQT`s looking to gain skills. QTS would be beneficial but not required.
